For 2016-17 we are proud to support the following charities:
Breathe/The Morgan Lucas Schuldt Foundation for Cystic Fibrosis
Breathe was founded in 2013 to benefit local New Jersey residents with Cystic Fibrosis. They raise money to provide financial aid due to unforeseen health problems along with educational scholarships to help residents with Cystic Fibrosis make the dream of higher education a reality.
Kula Cafe through Interfaith Neighbors
This workforce development program is designed to help under-employed or unemployed youth develop readily transferable skills for application in the hospitality industry. As an outgrowth of Kula Cafe, the Kula Urban Farm meets local market needs and provides engagement opportunities for local residents. The paid training program takes the unemployment issue in Asbury Park and turns it into a community of empowered skilled workers. Participants and customers work together towards the common goal of creating a better future, all while serving up fresh food in a comfortable and friendly environment.
Allaire Community Farm
Allaire Community Farm desires to give back to the community in any way they can by providing a caring environment for children with special needs and at risk young people who need encouragement. They also desire to offer free or low cost organic produce to families in need or those with cancer.
